Clearing Paper Jams
CAUTIONS:
Take care not to let metal objects come into contact with the thermal head. Metal can
damage the head.
Do not touch the thermal head or radiation plate. Printing can cause them to become
very hot.
1. Open the roll paper cover.
Note:
See the previous section for steps to take if the roll paper cover does not open.
2. Next, turn power off.
3. Grasp the leading end of the receipt paper and pull the jammed paper.
Note:
Be sure to remove all of the paper. Leaving part of the paper in the unit can cause sensor
malfunction.
4. Correct the problem that caused the paper jam and reload the roll paper into the unit.
Note:
See the section “Loading roll paper” for details on how to load roll paper.
