The width of the energizing pulse is set to the optimum value in accordance with the paper feed
speed, the temperature picked up by the thermistor, the head supply voltage, whether or not a
dot was printed at the previous position, and the print pattern.
Cutter Mechanism
This printer is equipped with an auto cutter mechanism for cutting of the roll paper, and an
emergency cutter for manual cutting.
Auto cutter mechanism
The auto cutter has two opposing cutter blades that operate like a scissors to cut the paper. It is a
separate cutter blade type mechanism that does not require passage of the roll paper through an
auto cutter mechanism slit. Opening the frame cover causes the stationary blade to separate
completely from the moving blade. The stationary blade is fixed to the frame cover, while the
moving blade is attached to the main frame.
