These
files
are
specifically
designed
to
be
used
with
the
"first"
models
of
the
EPSON
printers,
as
opposed
to
the
GRAFTRAX
or
now
the
FT
III.
If
you
haven't
upgraded
your
EP SON
printers,
this
is
the
one
for
you.
Since
the
MX-80
and
MX-100
den't
support
reverse
line
feeds,
you
can't
print
in
double
columns
on
these
printers.
Suppose
you
tried
to
set
the
new
left
and
right
margin
values,
as
if
you
were
printing
double
columns.
The
MX-80
and
MX-100
would
print
everything
between
these
new
left
and
right
margins
instead
of
follow:ing
the
second
column
left
and
right
margins.
There
is
a
st..ggestion
for
a
way
around
the
problem
of
double-eolumn
printing,
in
a
later
section
of
this
manual.
Also
since
these
printers
don't
support
reverse
line
feed,
multi-level
superscripts
or
sumcripts
aren't
possible
en
these
printers.
This
printer
isn't
capable
of
underlining.
There
are
no
ITALICS
or
proportional
fonts
en
the
EPSON MX-80.
If
you
selected
fcnt
3
with
AtariWriter,
you
get
ten
characters
per
inch.
Set
the
DIP
switches
to
the
"factory
settings"
described
in
the
User's
Manual
(page
21).
