Epson MOVERIO BT-100

Anticipating future growth in demand for wearable, portable devices

for entertainment and enterprise, Epson has unveiled its rst

generation of See-Through Mobile Viewer – the Moverio BT-100.

Developed with travel environments in mind, these multimedia glasses draw from

Epson’s expertise in imaging technologies by introducing this new concept in

portable entertainment. This rst-generation device offers you the ability to view

large-screen video content through transparent lenses, ensuring you can remain

aware of your surroundings, while viewing content in total privacy.

Everything is powered by the pocket-sized control unit which features, through the

Android™ 2.2

platform, web browsing capability enhanced by its embedded

Wi-Fi connectivity. This gives you complete exibility to watch a variety of content

and browse the internet in a variety of locations, whether you’re travelling, waiting

for a ight or at home and offers a hands-free alternative to tiny smartphone and

tablet PC screens. It also comes with a handy carry case to transport and store it

safely.

Enjoying your favourite TV shows and lms is simple, as you can watch MPEG4

video les on the 4GB SDHC memory card included as well as being able to

watch side-by-side 3D content. The moment you put on the headset, you’re

greeted by a large perceived image, that’s equivalent to watching a 320-inch

display from 20 metres away. This ensures that the experience is similar to

watching a big-screen projection, even in conned environments such as

aeroplanes and trains, and delivers a QHD display resolution equal to a quarter

of Full HD.

The BT-100 is extremely easy-to-use thanks to the intuitive smart-navigation

carousel menu and the built-in digital user guide, ensuring that help is readily

available whenever needed. The smartphone-sized control box has dedicated

buttons for common functions and a touch-sensitive trackpad for ease of use.

Audio is provided through the Dolby Mobile

stereo sound earphones which are

detachable, so they can be quickly changed. Adjust the headset thanks to the

replacement nose pads and adjustable side arms and t it over glasses, ensuring

everyone can enjoy a unique entertainment experience.
